URL’s are the address of your website and webpages in your website. Such as http://argvel.blogspot.in/2015/10/search-engine-optimizationseo.html
URL’s are present in the address bar of your webpage and it is used in ranking documents.
How should the URL’s looks like
It is best to give a short name to the URL, which is easy to copy and paste and using keywords.
Dynamic parameters in the url’s like http://argvel.blogspot.in/blog?/id=2454 falls lower in page ranking. So, it is best to use readable version url’s like http://argvel.blogspot.in/2015/10/subnetting.html
Instead of using separator’s like underscores (_), plus signs or space (%20), it is best to use hyphen character (-) to separate words from URL’s.
Canonical Tag
When two or more duplicate version of the webpage appears on different URL’s, it gives troublesome problems for the search engine. It makes it hard for search engine to find the original content.
So, To provide the best search experience, it rarely shows the multiple url’s leading to the same page, resulting in the lower ranking page for the duplicate content.
